Celebrity’s Barber College & Fresh Start Initiative

Fresh Start Initiative

Education. Dignity. Opportunity. Community.

Interested in becoming a barber? Start your journey with Celebrity’s Barber College. We are accepting pre-sign-ups from potential students.

Celebritys Barber College goal is to create an affordable nonprofit career-training pathway where students learn a skilled trade, serve the community, prepare for Washington licensure, receive career and entrepreneurship support.

All interested students should come in, meet with James Dixon, and complete a pre-application. Together, we will discuss your goals, your current situation, and the steps needed to help you pursue a career as a barber.

Grant assistance may become available for students who qualify. Funding and eligibility have not yet been confirmed, and assistance is not guaranteed. For students who do not qualify, our goal is to keep tuition affordable and work toward being one of the lowest-cost barber colleges in Washington—and eventually the country.

Call 360-443-7635 to arrange a time to come in and talk with James.

Code of Conduct

Every student is expected to conduct themselves as a future professional.

Celebrity’s Barber College is a nonprofit educational program committed to providing students with professional barbering education, career preparation, mentorship, and an opportunity for a fresh start.

Tuition

Washington requires at least 1,000 school hours for a barber license through the school-training route. Celebrity’s Barber College is not intended to be simply another barber school. The goal is to create an affordable nonprofit career-training pathway where students learn a skilled trade, serve the community, prepare for Washington licensure, receive career and entrepreneurship support, and have access to scholarships and sponsorships when financial barriers would otherwise prevent enrollment.

Please review the proposed tuition and meet with James Dixon as prices can vary depending on market value, state funding and our nonprofit guidelines.
